Trustee works for all students

I was delighted to hear Cindy Goldberg was running for reelection as trustee on the Conejo Valley school board.

Cindy is widely respected throughout the Conejo area. She has personal, professional and friendly relationships with many in the community.

I raised two sons in CVUSD, just recently dropping my youngest off for his freshman year of college. I was an involved parent leader during my children’s school years, including many years with the PTA.

Cindy is well known and has the wide respect of parents, teachers, administrators, and school and district personnel. Our schools are better because of Cindy.

Cindy has long been an advocate of ensuring that we pay attention to the social and emotional needs of our students while at the same time offering rich, core academic opportunities.

The wellness rooms on our high school campuses are a testament to her advocacy.

Cindy has also expanded the ways in which parents’ and students’ voices can be heard. During her tenure, the board established a Student DAC and created a student trustee position.

In addition to that, Cindy has supported the addition of several new district advisory councils.

I’ve come to know Cindy as a friend over these past four years. I’m certain she is the right person for the role.

She has proven herself to be someone who works for all students without any other agenda than student engagement, enrichment and success.
