Senior Concerns tabbed as top nonprofit


Senior Concerns was selected as a 2018 California Nonprofit of the Year by Assemblymember Jacqui Irwin and was honored by her on California Nonprofits Day, June 6.

Martha Shapiro, director of program services; Lisa Weaver, director of nutrition services; and board member Patricia Jones traveled to Sacramento, where they joined 100 other nonprofit leaders to be honored by their state senators and assemblymembers during a celebration luncheon as part of California Nonprofits Day.

Senior Concerns is a Thousand Oaks-based private nonprofit dedicated to serving seniors, caregivers and families.
