I’ve lived in Thousand Oaks for 60 years and finally learned the truth about the vacant land next to Borchard Road.

It is an absolute disgrace that former elected officials blocked the development of that property for decades, relying on the fictitious designation of “wetlands.”

There is nothing environmentally sacred about that property and never has been.

What our community needs is more housing and responsible development, not 40 acres of dirt next to the freeway.

Exorbitant housing costs in the Conejo Valley can only be helped by an increase in housing supply, not continued restrictions.

The owner of the Borchard land has my full support in their efforts toward further enhancing our great community.
