The center will open its barn doors for an afternoon of celebrating the life of a horse.

Attendees can learn about equine welfare, share the joys of owning a horse and ask questions of veterinarians, trainers and professional transporters.

Guests can also meet people who have rescued a horse and learn how they can rescue one. Children can take part in activities and interact with a miniature horse, goats and bunnies.

At the same time, the shelter’s third annual Cat Cafe (see below) will be held in the cat building. Guests can also visit dogs and check out the wildlife area.
