Sessions will teach proper dog park etiquette
Workshops held in T.O., Newbury Park
Want to take a pet to the dog park but unsure about how he or she will react while there?
Conejo Recreation and Park District, in cooperation with Conejo Off Leash Areas Friends, is offering canine communication workshops this spring. The cost is $20 per session.
These one-hour sessions will take place at three neighborhood off-leash areas and cover how to read a personal pet and other dogs, plus tips for ensuring that the dog has a good time at the park.
The workshops are led by canine behaviorist Jennifer Mann, owner of L.A. School for Dogs.
The 6 p.m. sessions will be Fri., March 31 at Kimber Park; Fri., April 7 at Walnut Grove Park; and Fri., April 21 at Estella Park.
Participants will learn new things at each workshop because the location and mix of dogs will change.
The goal of the workshops is to educate dog owners on canine body language and good dog park behavior.
Workshop registration is through CRPD.
