LDS women to make school bags for Africa
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will host a sewing event for the Engage Now Africa and Child2Youth foundations from 9 a.m. to noon Mon., Feb. 9 at 1600 Erbes Road, Thousand Oaks.
Participants will sew school bags and make hygiene kits for children in Africa, and are asked to bring scissors, Olfa cutters and sergers. Donations of fabric, elastic and materials as well as flannels are also needed.
