Reagan Foundation doles out $50,000 in college scholarships
Ronald Reagan The Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation awarded $50,000 in college scholarships to high school seniors in Ventura County on May 16.
The scholarship program rewards seniors who have demonstrated qualities of leadership and strong character throughout their four years of high school.
Following are the recipients for 2012, their schools and awards.
Sophia Li, Newbury Park High School, $10,000 scholarship and $500 teacher grant for her high school.
Ashley Chang, Westlake High School, $8,000 scholarship and $500 teacher grant for her high school.
Jacob Kohlhepp, Newbury Park High School, $5,000 scholarship.
Michelle Smolarski, Oak Park High School, and Kaitlyn Fung, Adolfo Camarillo High School, $4,000 scholarships.
Clara Chen, Moorpark High School; Samantha Goodnough, Royal High School; Rajika Jindani, La Reina High School; and Sumedh Shah, Thousand Oaks High School, $3,000 scholarships.
Sneda Paranadi, Newbury Park High School; Jacqueline Salgado, Royal High School; and Jada Webster, Westlake High School, $2,000 scholarships.
The Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization dedicated to the promotion of the Reagan legacy.
