A thief stole scrap metal worth more than $950 from the 700 block of Lawrence Drive between Feb. 2 and 3.

A graffiti vandal caused $250 in damage to property in the 1700 block of Calle Diamonte between Feb. 2 and 3.

A man, 46, was arrested Feb. 3 in the 800 block of Mitchell Road for possession of a sawed-off shotgun and for it being accessible to a child.

One or more vandals caused $3,000 in damage to property in the 3300 block of Holloway Street between Feb. 3 and 4.

Someone extorted money, taking more than $950 via a wire transfer, from a victim in the 900 block of Triunfo Canyon Road between May 3 and Dec. 8. The crime was reported Feb. 2.

A firearm was stolen from the 1600 block of Hauser Circle between Sept. 19 and Jan. 19. The theft was reported Feb. 2.

A 37- year- old woman was arrested Dec. 19 for elder abuse, making or passing fictitious checks and petty theft that occurred in the 1200 block of E. Avenida de Los Arboles.

Someone dumped waste in open space at Peak Place, off Laurelwood Drive between Rutland Place and Pocano Street, between Jan. 2 and Feb. 8.

A vandal damaged property in the 200 block of Flittner Circle between Jan. 7 and Feb. 4.

A vandal damaged property in the 800 block of Masterson Drive between Jan. 20 and Feb. 7.
