Businesswomen hope to take off in new year



ENTREPRENEURS—Women’s Economic Ventures graduates from Thousand Oaks, from left, Julie Hoffman, Tiffany Buchanan, Connie Camorlinga, Sara Smelt and Paige Apar join instructor Lisa Champagne Minyard on Dec. 15 to celebrate their completion of the company’s Self-Employment Training Course, a 14-week program which teaches finance, marketing and leadership skills. The event took place at the Montecito Country Club and included a reception and business expo where graduates showcased their new or upcoming businesses.
