Local churches host Christmas Eve celebrations

Calvary and Anthem services start at 4

Godspeak Calvary Chapel Thousand Oaks and Calvary Chapel Malibu will present a Christmas Eve celebration at 4 p.m. Sat., Dec. 24 at the Kavli Theatre in the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza, 2100 E. Thousand Oaks Blvd.

Doors open at 3:30.

Christmas music will be performed, along with a presentation called “Magnify the King.”

Pastor Rob McCoy will offer a message of hope and peace.

All ages are welcome.

The presentation is free, as is parking at the Civic Arts Plaza.

Anthem Church will host a Christmas Eve service from 4 to 5 p.m. Sat., Dec. 24 at the Conejo Valley YMCA, 4031 N. Moorpark Rd. in Thousand Oaks.

The service is family-friendly, and hot apple cider, cocoa and coffee will be provided.

Music will be performed and Pastor Matt Larson will offer a message about Jesus.

This is an outdoor service. Attendees are encouraged to dress warmly, bring a blanket to sit on and bring friends to enjoy a Christmas Eve sunset on a hill which overlooks Thousand Oaks, Newbury Park, Camarillo and Moorpark.

Anthem Church has campuses in Thousand Oaks and Camarillo.
