CROWD PLEASERS—A group of Conejo Valley middle school mascots lead a rowdy crowd at the Thousand Oaks Teen Center’s Spirit Night on Dec. 8. The mascots are, from left, the Los Cerritos Leopard, Sequoia Indians, Colina Cougar, Sycamore Canyon Coyote and Redwood Viking. The five schools competed in various events, such as relay races and tug-of-war. Sequoia Middle School in Newbury Park took the overall title of the mostspirited middle school.
