TOHS hires baseball coach
Thousand Oaks High has hired Ryan Geisler as its new head varsity baseball coach.
Geisler, who replaces Jimmy Stueve on the Lancer bench, was a three-sport athlete at Camarillo before graduating in 1997.
After high school, Geisler became an All-American kicker at California Lutheran University. He graduated from CLU in 2001 and later played three seasons in the Arena Football League.
He started coaching baseball at Channel Islands as a volunteer for the junior varsity team in 2000. A year later, Geisler was the head JV baseball coach at Thousand Oaks.
Following his football career, Geisler returned to TOHS as a history teacher and JV baseball coach in 2004. He’s been a Lancer assistant varsity coach since 2009.
Geisler lives in Camarillo, is married and enjoys spending time with his young daughter.
