Ventura County SELPA hosting autism services panel

The Ventura County Special Education Local Plan Area (SELPA) will host an autism services panel from 5:45 to 8:45 p.m. Wed., Sept. 22 at Tri-Counties Regional Center, 2401 Gonzales Road, Oxnard.

The event will discuss various services which may be appropriate for a child with autism spectrum disorders.

A panel of presenters will include a regional center clinical psychologist, special education administrator, special education teacher, speech-language pathologist, occupational therapist, school psychologist, behavior/ social skills specialist, rainbow representative, area board representative, autism society representative and a parent.

Many of the speakers will remain after the presentation to address individual questions attendees may have.

Admission is free. Free child care and Spanish or sign language interpretation will be available if reserved five days in advance. No child care walk-ins will be allowed.
