Gillette and Fox have got to go
Dennis Gillette and Andy Fox are out of touch. It’s time for them to go. I don’t want them wasting any more of our tax dollars.
They approved the giveaway lease of $1 per year to the billionaire developer Rick Caruso for The Lakes shopping center, public land that’s worth millions of dollars. They approved spending more than 400,000 of our tax dollars to put in 26 angled parking spaces in front of The Lakes.
They’re pushing for a giant color TV screen monument to be erected alongside the 101 at the Auto Mall.
I don’t want my community to look like a garish carnival venue, do you?
Andy Fox and Dennis Gillette also have a plan to put in high-rise buildings along T.O. Boulevard. Just like the Valley, you say?
Not if we vote them out!
Claudia Bill-de la Peña and Al Adam are two fiscally conservative professionals who have already proven they can hold accountable developers and others who do business with the city.
