Chabad of the Conejo celebrating High Holidays

Chabad of the Conejo will offer High Holiday Services at the following eight locations in the Conejo Valley: Hyatt Westlake Plaza in Westlake Village, Willow Elementary School in Agoura Hills, and at Chabad Centers in Westlake Village, Thousand Oaks, Agoura Hills, Newbury Park, Moorpark and Calabasas.

Rosh Hashana will be celebrated from Wednesday evening, Sept. 8 through Friday evening, Sept. 10. Yom Kippur begins Friday evening, Sept. 17 and concludes Saturday evening.

The services are open to all Jews, with no ticket collectors or ushers at the door. Reservations are not necessary and prayer books are provided.

The traditional service is blended with contemporary insights. Insights into many of the prayers and customs are explained during services.

A staff of more than a dozen will conduct the Youth Shul. The children’s program includes prayers, stories, songs, contests, prizes and refreshments.

Catered Rosh Hashana dinners and lunches will be served at the Hyatt following services. Reservations for the catered meals must be made in advance by calling (818) 991-0991 or go to www.chabadconejo.com.
