NPHS musicians dig in


HOMETOWN HELP–Newbury Park High School band member Jonae Walker, 16, gently shakes a shrub from a plastic pot for planting along Wendy Drive in Newbury Park. Nearly 30 students and parents affiliated with the Newbury Park High School band helped plant shrubs and ground cover last Saturday along the side of the road as part of the Thousand Oaks Community Enhancement Program, which provides grants to nonprofits for volunteer work that beautifies the community.
