Ventura County has openings on three boards and commissions

Openings are available on three county boards and commissions. Qualified citizens are asked to serve on the Alcohol and Drug Advisory Board, the Air Pollution Control District Advisory Committee and the Aviation Advisory Commission.

The Alcohol and Drug Advisory Board gives recommendations to the Board of Supervisors on services provided through the county alcohol and drug programs. The board meets in Ventura from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on the third Monday of each month.

The Air Pollution Control District Advisory Committee ensures that all parties, including private citizens, health and environmental organizations, government agencies and industry, have a forum for discussing the district’s rule development activities and other air pollution concerns. The committee meets in Ventura at 11 a.m. on the fourth Tuesday of each month.

The Aviation Advisory Commission gives recommendations to the Board of Supervisors on development and planning of aviation, air transportation and airports within the county, with special attention to the Oxnard and Camarillo airports. The commission meets in Camarillo at 7 p.m. on the first Monday of each month.
