Thousand Oaks seeking members for Cultural Affairs Commission

The city of Thousand Oaks is recruiting people for eight openings on the Cultural Affairs Commission.

Applicants must be active in performing arts, visual arts and/ or philanthropy for the arts.

Applicants must also be at least 18 years old, U.S. citizens and live within city limits.

Upon appointment, members are required to file Statement of Economic Interests Form 700.

The City Council-appointed committee serves as an advisory body to the City Council on matters pertaining to the arts and cultural development in the city with priority focus on the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza’s Fred Kavli and Scherr Forum theaters.

Applications are due by Tues., Aug. 31.
