If you don’t like it in T.O., move somewhere else
This letter is in response to the person who’s in constant criticism of the way the City Council has run the city of Thousand Oaks. I’ve lived here for 37 years and have seen many changes, some I liked and some I didn’t.
It’s impossible to please everyone, and many of the critics are newbies with no idea of our history. Some are residents who have lived here as long as I have, and some even longer.
I’m really getting tired of the constant bashing of four of the City Council members.
Everything they’ve tried to do is in the hope of making Thousand Oaks a better place for all who live and work here.
The sheriff’s department has done a wonderful job of protecting the citizens of Thousand Oaks. With a change in leadership, I can only hope that Sheriff Geoff Dean will continue to do the same.
The point I’m trying to make is that if you don’t like the way things are going, if you’re unhappy with City Council decisions and you feel threatened by what you feel is inadequate police protection, then maybe you should move to a city that does everything just the way you like it.
Apathetic people will be here long after we’re gone, but they’re outnumbered by the citizens of Thousand Oaks who will continue to protect the lifestyle that caused them to move here in the first place. Barbara Kloster Thousand Oaks
