Get what you need on Sunday

Nobody gets enough, and when you get some, you want more.

We’re talking about laughter, of course, and you can get plenty of it on Sunday night.

The Thousand Oaks Kiwanis Club Foundation, with the help of First California Bank, is presenting Comedy in the Conejo IV at The Canyon, 28912 Roadside Drive, Agoura Hills. Registration begins at 6 p.m. Sun., Aug. 8 with a social hour and silent auction. There’s a live auction at 7:15 p.m., and the show starts at 7:30.

Frazer Smith is the master of ceremonies, and he’s a funny guy in his own right. The guest lineup of comedians includes Lisa Alvarado, Grant Baciocco (aka “Throwing Toasters”), Quinn Dahl, Rudy Moreno and Louis Ashamallah.

No matter who you are, you want and need to laugh.

Laughing and smiling are good for you. If you’ve been feeling poorly, comedy will help you feel better. And if you’re feeling fine or even better, a few belly laughs will make your world shine even brighter.

The fourth annual Comedy in the Conejo supports worthy causes that get help from the T.O. Kiwanis Club. The organization teaches young people about service and volunteerism with its Key Clubs.

The Kiwanis help with scholarships for deserving young people.

It supports groups like Boys & Girls Club and the Y.

We hope to see you on Sunday night. Admission is $35 per person, and there’s a two-drink minimum (choice of drinks, appetizers or dinner, totaling $15.) The show is suitable for ages 16 and older.

The Canyon is just south of the 101 Freeway between Roadside Drive and Agoura Road in Whizin’s Shopping Center, just east of Kanan Road.

So if you haven’t had your fair share of laughter—or even if you have—please join us on Sunday.
