Freeway on-ramp from Lindero Canyon is unsafe
I suggest that Caltrans–or whatever organization is responsible for the 101 Freeway and its on-ramp design–please review the way they designed both the on-ramp and the new right lane merger on the northbound 101 from Lindero Canyon Road.
I read the article in your paper recently that a 20-year-old man died while driving on the new northbound on-ramp at Lindero Canyon.
It was very sad and tragic.
While construction was under way and every step of the way, the design just felt wrong and unsafe, and now that the new merger lane is finished, it still feels unsafe. Also, there’s no sign telling you the new lane will end when it suddenly merges with the lane next to it.
I’d like to possibly prevent another tragedy.
