The Simi Valley Iceoplex will host a curling open house at 7 p.m. Sat., July 31 at 131 W. Easy St., Simi Valley.

Participants ages 12 and older will learn the basics of the Winter Olympic sport of curling. Cost is $20 and includes ice time, use of equipment and lessons.

Dress warmly and wear athletic shoes with a good tread.
