Event to celebrate Walk of Fame anniversary
A special “Walk the Walk” event to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Hollywood Walk of Fame will take place at various sites throughout Hollywood from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sun., July 25.
Programs will start every 30 minutes and include tours inside the Capitol Records, Egyptian Theatre and Kodak Theatre buildings; behind the scenes at TV Guide Network; and soccer on the rooftop court of the Montalban Theatre.
Screenings of the films “Remembering Ricardo,” “To Kill a Mockingbird,” “Forever Hollywood” and “When She Danced” (story of Isadora Duncan) are scheduled, as well as performances of “Music of the Stars,” Ballet Folklorico Mi Linda Nicaragua, Tierra Blanca Dance Troupe and “Mariachis.”
Most events are free except for “Forever Hollywood,” $5 and “When She Danced,” $8 and $5.
Free printed programs of events and times will be available on Sunday at: Hollywood and Highland Center, 6801 Hollywood Blvd.; Egyptian Theatre, 6712 Hollywood Blvd.; Capitol Records, 1750 N. Vine St.; and The Montalban, 1615 N. Vine St.
