CLU begins adult evening program
California Lutheran University is expanding its adult degree evening program to Woodland Hills. Registration is under way for people interested in earning bachelor’s degrees in accounting, business management and organizational leadership.
Classes will begin Aug. 30 at CLU’s Woodland Hills Center, 21052 Oxnard St.
CLU has hired Gina La Monica as the full-time director to oversee the program. La Monica directed the Project for Adult College Education at Los Angeles Mission College for 10 years and has helped other institutions develop similar programs.
CLU’s accelerated program is designed for working adults 25 and older. Some classes are offered online. More than 2,000 students have earned degrees through the program.
The program has four 11-week terms throughout the year. Each class meets one or two evenings a week. On average, students complete their degrees in two and a half years. Admission is open to people with a high school diploma or GED certificate, at least 12 transfer credit hours, substantial work experience and a cumulative grade-point average of at least 2.25.
