Concert rocks to save lives of animals
A benefit rock concert with five bands will take place from 5 to 10 p.m. Fri., July 2 in the auditorium of the Christian Church of Thousand Oaks, 301 W. Avenida de Las Flores, Thousand Oaks.
All proceeds will go to local pet rescue organization, Fun-E-Bone pet rescue.
The bands scheduled to perform include Champagne Sunday, which is starting its third national tour with this show; Growing Feathers; How to Become Popular; and Topanga.
The show is produced by Anthony Angelini, 15, a student at Westlake High School, and his friend Aaron Jassenoff. Anthony started organizing concerts in his backyard at age 12.
Tickets are $5 for students and $10 for adults and can be purchased at the church on the day of the event.
