Residential burglary suspects arrested after high-speed chase
A 17-year-old juvenile was arrested in connection with a residential burglary after he allegedly stole the homeowner’s vehicle in Thousand Oaks on June 3 and led police on a high-speed pursuit that ended in the Saticoy area.
Detectives conducted a follow up investigation and linked the juvenile and a second suspect, Daniel Vega Bello, 18, of Ventura to a home burglary that occurred on May 26 in the 500 block of Calle Arroyo, Thousand Oaks. Police said the suspects were also connected to at least five separate residential burglaries in T.O., Camarillo and Ventura.
The juvenile was arrested and booked at Juvenile Hall on charges of residential burglary and vehicle theft,.
Bello was arrested during a traffic stop in Ventura after a search warrant was executed where he lives. Bello was booked at the East Valley Sheriff’s Station on three counts of residential burglary and two counts of grand theft auto. He’s in custody with bail set at $50,000.
Residents are reminded to use safes in their homes to secure valuables, to remove potential loot from their vehicles and make sure their vehicles are locked.
