The Women’s Artistic Network, an eastern Ventura County group of poets, writers, artists, musicians, photographers and women in the arts, announces the second annual Carol E. Doering Poetry Contest.

The competition is named to honor a late member of the group who wrote and promoted poetry as an art form.

Winners will receive $75 for first prize, $50 for second prize and $25 for third prize.

The contest is open to anyone, except club members.

Entries must be original, unpublished and must have received no prior awards.
