Youth athletics alive and well in Conejo Valley


A TROPHY TEAM—The Sandlots, a U-11 baseball team based in Thousand Oaks, won the recent Newbury Park Memorial Day tournament at Dos Vientos. NEVER LOST—The Real So Cal Blue Silver Elite GU12 soccer team went undefeated to the championship playing up at the GU13 level for the Conejo Valley United Soccer Club (CVU) Tournament of Champions. CHAMPS–The Ventura County Elite girls basketball team from Conejo Valley recently won the sixth-grade division of the Swoosh State Championship at the University of California, Santa Barbara Thunderdome. The tournament MVP was Kate Foultz.
