Rent Adjustment Commission needs volunteers
The city of Thousand Oaks is seeking applicants for five openings on the Rent Adjustment Commission.
The commission is composed as follows: One landlord of a mobile home park or the landlord’s agent, one tenant or subtenant entitled to use or occupy a mobile home rental space, and three atlarge members, neither landlords nor tenants of a residential rental property.
City residency is required for tenant and at-large members.
The commission is a City Council-appointed committee that’s responsible for implementing provisions of the city’s Mobilehome Rent Stabilization Municipal Code and any code regulating rents in apartment complexes. The commission may make studies and investigations and conduct hearings in discharging their responsibilities.
