Boys & Girls Clubs now open to fifth-graders

The Conejo Valley Unified School District has given the Boys & Girls Clubs of Conejo & Las Virgenes permission to admit fifthgraders to its clubs on Redwood, Sequoia, Los Cerritos and Colina middle school campuses in Thousand Oaks and Newbury Park.

The clubs provide van service, picking up children enrolled in morning programs at the Redwood, Los Cerritos and Colina clubs and transporting them to their respective schools. During the afternoons, the van picks members up at school and brings them to their clubs.

Club members can choose the activities they want, including dance, computers, playground, football or basketball. Supervision is provided for all activities.

Membership is $180 a month.

The clubs are open before and after school, during lunch, on weekends and all day during school vacations and the summer. Summer camps are also provided.
