More than 100 families from the Conejo Valley are forming a new Jewish congregation, The New Shul of the Conejo, which will host an informational meeting for those interested in membership at noon Mon., May 24 at 29900 Ladyface Court, Agoura Hills.

The congregation will also host a Shabbat service and celebration at 7 p.m. Fri., June 4 at the same location. The community is invited.

The new synagogue will have Shabbat services, High Holiday services and a Hebrew School to accommodate the needs of children busy with extracurricular activities.

The congregation is open to young families, seniors and families of every configuration.

Rabbi Gershon Weissman will be the leader, and Cantor Kenny Ellis will be called upon to lead special services and program.
