The United Methodist Church of Thousand Oaks will host its annual community deep pit barbecue from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sat., May 22 and from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sun., May 23 at the church, 1000 E. Janss Road, Thousand Oaks.

The event will include live music, children’s activities, face painting and a Jolly Jumper.

Dinners are $10 for adults and $7 for children 12 and under. A children’s meal of hot dog and chips will be available for $4.

Proceeds will benefit Manna food bank and the Westminister Free Clinic, which provides healthcare in Thousand Oaks. A Manna truck will be on site to collect nonperishable food donations.
