Predators also are nesting this spring
HAWK-EYED—A nest perched above a Sunset Hills cul-de-sac is filled with a family of redtailed hawks that were spotted by resident Billy Martin. The nest accommodated three baby hawks and either their mom or dad before the fledglings grew. The young birds now spread their wings and hop from branch to branch, preparing to fly. Visible here are a fledgling, left, and adult during a brief rain shower on April 20. JANN HENDRY/Acorn Newspapers
