At the Library
The Grant Brimhall/Thousand Oaks Library at 1401 E. Janss Road will be closed Sat. and Sun., May 1 and 2 due to Conejo Valley Days across the street.
•The library will offer the following free computer class at 10 a.m. Thurs., April 29: Computer Basics II.
•“Wii Will Rock You” will be from 3:30 to 5 p.m., Tues., May 4 at the Newbury Park Branch Library, 2331 Borchard Road.
The event, for teens age 12 and up, will feature video and board games, snacks and soft drinks.
•Family Event: Mothers and Grandmothers will be at 10:30 a.m. Sat., May 8 at the Newbury Park Branch Library.
The old-fashioned story time will focus on mothers and grandmothers. A simple craft will be offered for small children.
•Movie Matinee. “Rachel Getting Married” will be shown at 1 p.m. Mon., May 10 at the Grant Brimhall Library. There is no charge. The film is rated R.
•Randy Patrick will present tips from his book “Money Games: 85 Ways to Save Money and Attract Abundance” at 7 p.m. Mon., May 17 at the Grant Brimhall Library.
Copies of the book will be available for purchase, and a book signing will follow the free program.
