The Wellness Community Valley/Ventura will celebrate 19 years of providing support and education to people fighting cancer at the Celebration of Life Anniversary Gala fundraiser from 6 p.m. to midnight Fri., May 7 at the Four Seasons Hotel, Two Dole Drive, Westlake Village.

The event is one of the biggest fundraisers of the year for the organization.

The gala includes live entertainment by classical vocalist Nick Palance and cocktail hour entertainment by singer-songwriter and classical guitarist Pete Glasgow.

The honorary celebrity guests are actors Chad Everett and Shelby Grant.

A live auction will feature such items as vacations in Hawaii, Vail and Breckenridge as well as a Central Coast wine tour, jerseys autographed by Lance Armstrong and George Hincapie, and a children’s birthday experience at the Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History.

The gala will also honor residents who have made an impact on cancer patients and their families through their work with The Wellness Community. The honorees are Bernard S. Lewinsky, MD; Helen Gateka-Anderson; John L. Notter Sr.; and Lyn Woodley.
