You’re right, pure unadulterated greed is the reason for Bridges Charter wanting the University campus––to utilize a campus so their children can be educated under the best possible circumstances. How criminal!

Do I have to mention University is paid for by our tax dollars? Many others like myself in this community have been subsidizing for many years Conejo Vally Unified School District through our tax dollars, all while homeschooling our children and even paying for private schools.

CVUSD has already lost those dollars. Our tax dollars still went into the pot, we’re just paying double to keep them out. Think about that.

If you think Bridges is taking children from the CVUSD, think again. CVUSD isn’t losing any children that weren’t already lost in one way or another.

Regarding your comment, “If Bridges honestly cared about saving money for the CVUSD they wouldn’t have become a charter school,” while I can’t speak for them, saving money for CVUSD isn’t my concern because it’s not their money.

Obtaining the best education for our children while being cognizant of how our taxpayers dollars are spent should be the priority.

In view of Betsy Connolly’s letter, it’s clear the only board member listening is Michael Dunn. Ms.Connelly states pressuring the school board into giving the University campus to Bridges isn’t in the best interest of the residents. Why not? Break it down for me lady, quit speaking political platitudes.

Ms Connelly, we are the community, your attitude will only bring more charters to the area.

In response to the comment “They’ve set a horrible example for children,’’ if that means they’re being taught to speak against that which you disagree and have courage to stand against, instead of taking a shot of Kool- Aid and jumping off the cliff with the rest of the herd, then I’m Alice in the looking glass, in a backward world.

Being ignorant is not so much a shame, as being unwilling to learn.
