Looking for Conejo’s historical photos

ONE OF THOUSANDS–T.O. Mayor Dennis Gillette shows a photo he’ll contribute to the archives at the Thousand Oaks Library Foundation “Conejo Through the Lens” community photo project. The kickoff at the Grant Brimhall/Thousand Oaks Library in Thousand Oaks was last Saturday. The project will build a collection of historical photographs by scanning digital copies of residents’ pictures. Photos can be scanned at the special collections department of the library on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 1 to 5 p.m. and on Thursdays from 5 to 9 p.m. Photos can also be scanned by appointment by calling (805) 449-2660, ext. 228. A book of the collection will be published later. IRIS SMOOT/Acorn Newspapers ONE OF THOUSANDS–T.O.
