Public invited to hear plans about T.O. Boulevard
Will developers increase the city’s population by adding apartments above businesses in high-rise buildings?
Those interested in future development of Thousand Oaks Boulevard could get some answers on Wed., March 31 when the Thousand Oaks Redevelopment Agency will conduct a public meeting from 6 to 9 p.m. in the board room at city hall.
According to city officials, the purpose of the meeting is to provide an overview of the land use changes and new design standards being proposed by the Thousand Oaks Boulevard Association.
The meeting will also give the public an opportunity to meet redevelopment agency staff and the plan’s environmental impact report consultant team. The public can ask questions and give input.
The specific plan covers more than 275 acres in the core of Thousand Oaks—Thousand Oaks Boulevard from Conejo Boulevard near Moorpark Road to Duesenburg Drive.
The goal of the Thousand Oaks Boulevard Association is to promote development of Thousand Oaks Boulevard with a mix of retail, office, commercial and residential uses with bus stops, bicycle lanes and landscaping.
