Fest needs sponsors

The Kingsmen Shakespeare Company is seeking sponsors for activities in the coming year.

The company brings dramatic and comedic theatrical productions to the campus of California Lutheran University.

One of the leading cultural events in Conejo Valley is the summer Kingsmen Shakespeare Festival at CLU. Two plays are presented during the annual sixweekend run.

The company also presents Shakespearean workshops and performances at local schools.

The company offers apprentice programs for high school, college and university students during the summer festival. Young people can become junior apprentices, performing during pre-show activities and in minor roles onstage. Apprentices are recruited from college and university theater programs throughout the country through auditions.

Camp Shakespeare is offered each summer for children ages 9 through 16. Acting is taught, and performance opportunities are available. The staff comprises teachers, actors and company members.

The Kingsmen Shakespeare Company is dedicated to presenting professional programs and performances of the works of William Shakespeare for the entertainment and education of people of all ages.

Donors can contribute at various levels, from $25 to $20,000 and more.
