The city is still wasting our money
Regarding the “New city logo being considered” story, the staff of the city of Thousand Oaks must stay up nights trying to figure out ways to waste taxpayer money.
In these tight financial times, when they’re considering closing the Newbury Park library, spending money for this study borders on outrageous.
These are the same geniuses who spent money for a study to determine why The Lakes isn’t doing well.
I could have told them for nothing; The Lakes isn’t doing well because there’s an absence of general interest stores for middle income people, and thus there’s little reason to shop there.
City employees need to handle public funds in a responsible manner. Why do we need a new logo, especially now, when funds are tight?
They’re custodians of our funds, and they need to spend it in a sensible, prudent manner.
