Greek church to offer summer camp program

Ionian Village, the summer camping program in Greece that is operated by the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America, is accepting registrations for Summer Camp 2010.

Teens who have completed grades seven through 12 may attend either Summer Travel Camp on July 1 to 20 or Byzantine Venture from July 25 to Aug. 13.

Teens and young adults who participate in Ionian Village travel across Greece to venerate the relics of saints, walk in the footsteps of the apostles and visit significant sites of Greek history and culture. The program is designed to give staff and campers a stronger faith and a greater appreciation for the church and Greek culture.

This year is the 40th anniversary of Ionian Village.
