It makes no sense to put Bridges at Horizon Hills

Regarding Conejo Valley Unified School District wanting to put Bridges at Horizon Hills, it makes no sense. The district already has surplus elementary school facilities and space.

Why would we need to spend taxpayer money to build another elementary campus facility for Bridges? It doesn’t make sense.

CVUSD closed University and Meadows elementary schools despite huge parent protest because enrollment across the district in lower grades–K-5– had declined and was continuing to decline. Then why does the district need the University campus to grow a preschool/childcare program, when enrollment numbers for this age group are declining, and private preschool facilities currently have openings?

Again, it doesn’t make sense.

The University campus is a mostly empty, move-in ready site, costing next to nothing in set up costs for the district to prepare it for Bridges.

CVUSD needs to take the fiscally responsible action with our taxpayer dollars and put Bridges Charter School at the University campus.

Stop making bad decisions even worse.
