Manna needs fresh produce
Manna food bank in Thousand Oaks is getting a lot of fruit this time of year, and the donations are appreciated.
Lemons, oranges and tangerines are being delivered on a daily basis.
People can drop off fruit Mondays through Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. or by appointment. Manna doesn’t have the manpower to pick fruit, but if a service group would like to help, call Manna at (805) 497-4959, and the food bank will match volunteers with someone whose fruit needs to be picked.
Seasonal garden vegetables are also welcome. Manna is at 3020 Crescent Way, just east of Hampshire Road and south of Thousand Oaks Boulevard.
