It appears that much of the support for Linda Parks comes from all over the county.

I appreciate that she has support from the environmental community and those who want to extend Save Open Space and Agricultural Resources (SOAR).

She does not, however, have my support.

We need jobs in Ventura County, and we need to concentrate on those areas that mean the most to us for our daily lives and our general well-being.

Too much time and money are going into areas that are apparently serving Parks’ agenda not her constituents, especially in the 2nd Supervisory District, which are those of us who elected her.

We want someone who’s fiscally responsible and concerned with the plight of human needs. Regrettably Mrs. Parks isn’t that person. She has shown time after time she’s a one-note politician, and we just can’t afford that note any longer.

My vote will go to Audra Strickland.
