Fox News is biased
For those who think Fox News is nonpartisan, here are some facts:
Roger Ailes, the head of Fox News, was a “media consultant” for Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush. He’s credited, along with Lee Atwater, with engineering the successful fear-and-smear campaign against Michael Dukakis in 1988.
Several years ago, the L.A. Times reported that Mr. Ailes received regular faxes of Republican Party talking points from the Bush White House.
He would then distribute them to his program directors, who would repeat the same points on each show all throughout the day.
This story was later verified by former Bush press secretary Scott McClellan. McClellan stated that these talking points weren’t issued to provide the public with news; instead, they were to provide Fox News commentators with issues and perspectives favorable to the Bush White House and the Republican Party.
In short, Fox News is for the Republican Party what Pravda was for the Communist Party. The only difference is that, while the Communist Party leaders paid the salaries at Pravda, Fox News pays salaries to Republican Party leaders such as Mike Huckabee, Sarah Palin and Karl Rove.
And for those of you who believe the slogan “fair and balanced,” the Russian word “pravda”
in English means “truth.”
