Chabad to celebrate Purim holiday

Chabad of the Conejo will celebrate the holiday of Purim with megillah readings at 7:30 p.m. Sat., Feb. 27 its Agoura Hills center, 30345 Canwood St.

The Chabad of Westlake will be turned into an “Asian Courtyard” for a communitywide family festival from noon to 2 p.m. Sun., Feb. 28 at 2524 Townsgate Road, Westlake Village.

Participants are encouraged to dress in Asian costume. Festivities will include the reading of the megillah (book of Esther), noisemakers, refreshments, a masquerade contest, a children’s show and hamantaschen (special Purim pastry).

A kosher Asian lunch will be served.

The entrance fee, which includes lunch, is $10 for adults and $5 for children. Reservations can be made by visiting www.ChabadConejo.com.
