The regional Chamber gets a less clunky name

When Agoura Hills officially joined the Thousand Oaks-Westlake Village Regional Chamber of Commerce in January, the group’s name could have become unwieldy because of its length.

Instead, the California Secretary of State approved an articles of incorporation legal filing that changed the name to the Greater Conejo Valley Chamber of Commerce.

The 1,400-member Chamber now serves the entire Conejo Valley business corridor, said Chamber President Jill Lederer.

“The Greater Conejo Valley Chamber better represents who we are—we are one economy,” Lederer said.

The Agoura/Oak Park/Conejo Valley Chamber said the move has no bearing on its operations.
