Grant to help Conejo Valley homeless
Ventura County Together, a collaborative partnership of multiple Ventura County nonprofit and government agencies, recently awarded more than $8,300 to the Conejo Valley Homeless Prevention and Emergency Assistance Fund, a combined service of the Ventura County Homeless and Housing Coalition, Conejo Valley Affordable Housing Workgroup, Catholic Charities, Lutheran Social Services and Many Mansions.
Many Mansions, as the fund’s administrator, will distribute emergency rental assistance upon request to Catholic Charities and Lutheran Social Services in an effort to prevent homelessness among the limited-income individuals served by these organizations.
Recently, Ventura County Together partnered with the Amgen Foundation for a matching grant program, which generated more than a quarter of a million dollars in matched donations from the community. These funds enable Ventura County Together to select and support organizations that serve basic needs.
