Seniors can learn how to live longer

A free informational seminar on health and fitness tips for longevity for seniors and those approaching their senior years will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tues., Feb. 9 at Senior Concerns Adult Day Center, 401 Hodencamp Road, Thousand Oaks.

Dr. Douglas Markham, wellness adviser, will discuss how healthy eating and exercise can help reduce or eliminate the need for prescription drugs, how exercise can promote relief for arthritis sufferers and how memory techniques and exercise can enhance brain function.

A time for questions and answers will follow the presentation.

The program is free, although a $5 donation to Senior Concerns is suggested.

Phone reservations are encouraged through Mon., Feb. 8. Walk-in registration will be based on seating availability.

A reservation is required to arrange respite care for specialneeds seniors.
