Presentation examines effect of humans on planet Earth

The Discovery Center for Science and Technology will present “What’s Happening to Planet Earth?” from 7:30 to 9 p.m. Thurs., Feb. 11 at Baxter Biosciences, 1 Baxter Way, Westlake Village.

Dr. Richard Elsley will discuss the effect that almost 7 billion people are having on the planet. Mankind is using ever-increasing amounts of water, food and energy.

During the talk, the audience can participate in hands-on interactive demonstrations. The lecture is geared to adults and mature teenagers. Tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for seniors, teachers and students.
